About the Artist…

Sarah Logue, born in the Southern Oregon town of Ashland has lived all over the country including the East coast, the South, the Midwest & Kauai! She eventually landed back in Southern Oregon where she laid down roots with her husband Scott to raise their 3 beautiful daughters. She has recently left her career in the criminal justice system to pursue her art- leaving behind the legal field she has worked in for the last 18 years. “That line of work often involves dealing with people in their darkest hours”, says Artist Sarah Logue. In her pursuit of happiness, she finds herself in a creative process to find inner peace through art. Her inspiration stems from her travels as well as her past and current connections to the tranquil waters and warm beaches of Hawaii. Sarah’s natural talent to create beauty has eventually brought a demand for more. Her calming and soothing presence translate into her work. Her primary medium of resin allows her to create a unique depth capturing one’s imagination. “I create places I want to be”, says Sarah. Her humble disposition and unique interpretation of the ocean has many intrigued by her works of art and will continue to inspire. “Where do you want to be?” she asks.

Resin!!!! Often times a hot sticky mess, I love it! The depth you can achieve, the different mediums that you can add to create effects…it’s unlike anything I have ever worked with. Paints, inks, pigments, sand, metallic leafing, gems, stones, lights…the list goes on.

About the process…

I have always been a creative person. Never thought of myself as an “artist” until the last few years- I realized that I need to “create” to really feel the energy around me. I need to transform my thoughts, memories and ideas into something I can share. It is easier to connect with people through my art- words do not get in the way. I feel good when my art evokes a feeling of peace and can bring that into your home or work space. What a privilege!
